Notes - Cape Aspro is exposed with very little shade, so avoid the hottest part of the day, particularly during the Cyprus summer. Bring plenty of water for both you and your pup.

Keep your pup on a lead, especially as you approach the exposed clifftop sections. Take plenty of water, wear sturdy shoes and avoid walking during the hottest part of the day.

Why This Adventure Is Special

Cape Aspro feels completely different from our usual beach adventures. The rugged landscape, open countryside and incredible Mediterranean views make it a beautiful place to explore. We only walked part of the trail as far as the clifftop — the views were spectacular, but the cliff edge was quite enough adventure for us!

Cape Aspro, Pissouri

Cape Aspro was a very different adventure from our usual walks along the beach. Starting from the Cape Aspro Trail parking area near Pissouri, we headed out along the trail with rugged countryside around us and the Mediterranean in the distance.

For me, there was plenty to investigate from the moment we started. New smells, different terrain and lots of places that clearly required a very thorough Cavapoo inspection.

As we followed the trail, the landscape opened up and the views became more and more impressive until we reached the clifftop overlooking the sea. It was absolutely beautiful — although apparently my humans don't share my enthusiasm for exploring quite so close to a very large drop!

We decided that the clifftop was far enough for us and turned around rather than continuing along the full Cape Aspro Trail. And that's something worth remembering: an adventure doesn't have to mean completing an entire route. Sometimes exploring a small section, discovering somewhere new and enjoying the views together is more than enough.

Cape Aspro gave us rugged scenery, a lovely walk and some incredible views — plus another Cyprus adventure to add to my passport. 🤎🐾
